You will support effective financial management through budget setting, monitoring and forecasting, delivering accurate management accounts and contributing to statutory reporting and efficient financial systems. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and budget holders, you will provide high-quality business-partnering support, identifying risks and opportunities and driving value for money. You will help ensure MSV remains financially strong, compliant and well governed, supporting delivery of the Corporate Plan and deputising for the Finance Business Partner when required. In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
Job Responsibility
Support the delivery of the annual budget and ongoing financial planning, ensuring robust challenge, high-quality data and timely submissions for Executive and senior leadership reporting
Produce accurate and timely management accounts, providing clear analysis of financial performance, variances, risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making
Maintain strong financial reporting and control, including balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, salary postings, forecasting and year-end statutory accounts activity
Deliver value-added finance business partnering, providing tailored reports, insightful analysis and embedding value for money across budgets and forecasts
Ensure strong financial governance and compliance by maintaining accurate records, robust internal controls, adherence to financial regulations, and effective support for audits and regulatory returns
Requirements
Part-qualified Accountant or qualified AAT or equivalent through relevant training / experience
Experience of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
Experience of providing appropriate financial information
Ability to plan, prioritise and organise effectively to meet changing needs
Strong IT skills including use of Excel, knowledge and use of finance and housing management systems
Ability to analyse complex data to produce reports and deliver information to a range of audiences
