Join us where the legend of Robin Hood lives on among the pines of Sherwood Forest. Location: Sherwood Forest (Edwinstowe). Salary: £12.91 per hour. Working Hours: Full-time - 40 hours per week. Days of Work: Shifts will cover Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday each week with a mix of shifts between 8.30am and 9pm. We have an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join our Sherwood team! Be a part of creating special escapes in one of the UK’s most iconic woodland locations, developing your skills while ensuring our cabins are beautifully prepared for every guest. Our cabins are dotted among the statuesque pines of Sherwood Forest, almost hidden from view. Here, where the legend of Robin Hood was born, you can immerse yourself in the great outdoors across 3,300 acres of magnificent woodland, a truly magical setting to work and grow. unforgettable memories.

Job Responsibility:

Assist the Facilities Manager in supervising, training, and scheduling the facilities team to ensure smooth daily operations
Carry out general maintenance tasks, including using tools, fixing machinery, decorating, and completing routine checks across cabins and facilities
Oversee and deliver both planned and urgent maintenance, ensuring cabins, hot tubs, and site areas remain in excellent condition
Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed, and complete required compliance and maintenance paperwork accurately and on time
Respond quickly and professionally to guest maintenance concerns—whether it’s a dishwasher not draining or heating issues, ensuring high satisfaction
Inspect and maintain cabins before guest arrivals, ensuring everything is fully operational and presented to a high standard
Carry out duties in all weather conditions, maintaining a high-quality finish while supporting the smooth running of the location

Requirements:

Hands-on maintenance experience, including using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude
Resilience to work outdoors in all weather conditions, all year round
Great communication skills, with the ability to assist guests and handle queries professionally
Team leadership experience, with the ability to support, train, and motivate staff
You must hold a full, clean UK Driving Licence
