Job Description:

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the marine portfolio and ensuring the seamless administration of insurance policies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting in the preparation of quotations, proposals, and presentations for marine cargo insurance products
  • Liaising with brokers and clients to gather essential information required for the underwriting process
  • Handling the issuance of marine cargo insurance policies, endorsements, and certificates
  • Ensuring all documentation complies with company guidelines and regulatory requirements, while following up on any pending paperwork
  • Supporting marketing initiatives and maintaining updated client and prospect databases to assist in portfolio growth

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in any field
  • Possession of BCP, PGI, and ComGI certifications
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience within the insurance industry preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with brokers and clients
  • A conscientious team player who is tactful and able to manage daily tasks and priorities effectively

Nice to have:

  • Background in Maritime Studies
  • Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in underwriting are welcome to apply

  • Coordinate and implement assigned care plan activities and monitors care plan progress
  • Using holistic approach consults with case managers, supervisors, Medical Directors and/or other health programs to overcome barriers to meeting goals and objectives
  • Presents cases at case conferences to obtain multidisciplinary review in order to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Identify and escalate quality of care issues through established channels
  • Utilize negotiation skills to secure appropriate options and services necessary to meet the member’s benefits and/or healthcare needs
  • Utilize influencing/ motivational interviewing skills to ensure maximum member engagement and promote lifestyle/behavior changes to achieve optimum level of health
