The primary purpose of your position is to assist the Executive Director in overseeing the operation of the community by directing policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with organization standards as well as federal, state, and local guidelines.
Job Responsibility:
Represent the community in dealings with outside agencies
Make written and oral reports/recommendations to management
Assist in developing plans of correction for cited deficiencies
Ensure survey team members have additional information during survey
Ensure staff receive training on protected health information policies
Assist in ensuring all follow established safety regulations
Assist in recruitment and training of staff
Consult with department directors
Ensure residents' rights are maintained
Act on reports of allegations of resident abuse/misappropriation
Review resident complaints and grievances
Assist residents in establishing a Resident/Group Council/Support Group
Maintain relationship with residents and families
Ensure policies for resident discharges/room changes are followed
Report suspected incidents of fraud
Maintain working relationship with medical profession
Encourage residents to socialize
Assist with in-service training
Meet with department directors regularly
Attend workshops/seminars
Terminate employment of staff when necessary
Requirements:
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability and willingness to work harmoniously with others, have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
Willingness to handle difficult residents
Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
Thorough knowledge of Ohio Residential Care Facility rules and regulations and the survey process
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a health-related degree is preferred but not required
Minimum two years experience in a supervisory capacity in a Senior Living Community
Unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator’s license or Assisted Living equivalent or meet the licensure requirements of Ohio preferred
