The primary purpose of your position is to assist the Executive Director in overseeing the operation of the community by directing policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with organization standards as well as federal, state, and local guidelines.
Job Responsibility:
Represent the community in dealings with outside agencies
Make written and oral reports/recommendations to management
Assist in developing plans of correction for cited deficiencies
Ensure staff receive appropriate and timely training on protected health information policies
Assist in ensuring established safety regulations are followed
Assist in the recruitment and training of competent staff
Consult with department directors concerning the operation of their departments
Ensure residents' rights are well established and maintained
Act on reports of allegations of resident abuse and/or misappropriation of resident property
Review resident complaints and grievances
Assist residents in establishing and implementing a Resident/Group Council/Support Group
Maintain a relationship with residents, their families, and support staff
Ensure policies governing resident discharges and room changes are followed
Report suspected or known incidents of fraud
Maintain an excellent working relationship with the medical profession and health-related organizations
Encourage and assist residents to socialize
Assist department directors in planning and conducting in-service training
Meet with department directors regularly and participate in training programs
Attend workshops and seminars to keep abreast of current data
Terminate employment of staff when necessary

Thorough knowledge of Ohio Residential Care Facility rules and regulations and the survey process
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Minimum two years experience in a supervisory capacity in a Senior Living Community
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a health-related degree preferred
Unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator’s license or Assisted Living equivalent or meet the licensure requirements of Ohio preferred
