This position assists the Engineering Manager with supervision, coordination, and training of Leads/Operating Engineers while developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for panel allocation and EPM compliance programs. You will provide technical support and training while ensuring reactive works compliance, quality inspections, and vendor coordination for building operations. This role contributes to JLL's business objectives by maintaining continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical, and critical environments while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards that support client operations and enhance facility reliability.
Job Responsibility:
Assist Engineering Manager with supervising and training Leads/Operating Engineers while developing Panel Allocation SOPs for project forecasting
Implement EPM programs for each site and write SOPs while reviewing electrical MOPs and approving associated JHAs
Ensure reactive work orders are managed within SLA limits while proactively addressing unassigned work orders to reduce volume
Coordinate and control vendor activities while ensuring quality inspections and defect remediation or escalation
Conduct regular site inspections, work inspections, and audits while maintaining tools/equipment and system inventories
Issue, close, and inspect work permits including LOTO Logs, Risk Assessments, and Hot Work permits for vendors and engineers
Oversee maintenance and operation of building systems including electrical, HVAC, fire/life safety, and critical environments
Requirements:
Strong understanding of NFPA-70E with ability to work on equipment using appropriate Arc Flash PPE
Experience with electrical systems, life safety, and fire alarm systems as subject matter expert
Knowledge of building critical systems engineering design and operational aspects with troubleshooting capabilities
Safety training experience including NFPA-70E and OSHA-10 certifications
Ability to supervise and manage technical staff including hiring, training, and personal development
Experience with preventive maintenance prioritization and work order management systems
Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements including Federal, State, and Local laws
Nice to have:
Experience developing SOPs and MOPs for building operations and maintenance procedures
Background in vendor coordination and contractor oversight within building environments
Knowledge of panel load data logging and electrical forecasting systems
Experience with EPM compliance program development and implementation
Understanding of critical spares inventory management and procurement processes
Familiarity with EHS record keeping and hazardous materials handling procedures
Experience with building infrastructure documentation including drawings and single-lines
