Job Description:

We are seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to support our Engineering Manager in delivering exceptional facility operations and maintenance services. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge building systems while developing technical and leadership skills in a dynamic commercial real estate environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support daily operations and assist in overseeing building operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
  • Monitor building performance, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure continuous operation
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs
  • Work closely with contractors and service providers to schedule repairs and upgrades
  • Help track maintenance costs and vendor performance
  • Assist in supervising purchase recommendation submission
  • Help ensure finance tracker are kept up to date
  • Assist in ensuring all purchasing activities follow company policies and legal regulations while assessing risks like supplier instability
  • Assist in maintaining building systems compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Support inspections, certifications, and regulatory reporting
  • Help plan and execute building enhancement projects
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Support the training and development of maintenance staff
  • Assist in performance management
  • Help maintain high service delivery standards

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Facilities Management, Building Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or engineering services
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Proven problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Basic project management capabilities
  • Ability to support team development initiatives
