Assistant Engineering Manager

• Assist the Chief Engineer in all aspects of hotel and building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating
• Respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies
• Assist with the planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the workflow of engineering requests
• Assist in managing the team to conduct repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects assigned by the Engineering Manager
• Assist in the training, supervision, counseling, scheduling and evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis
• Maintain close working relations with hotel contractors who provide reliable 24-hour emergency services
• Respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction

• Minimum 2+ years of previous experience in engineering trades related to hospitality is preferred
• Experience working in and supervising staff and leading teams in a hotel environment preferred
• Requires technical knowledge of building maintenance and engineering trades
• Ability to operate computer equipment
• Good communication skills are a necessity
• Fluency in English is required for this location
• Applicants must have current work authorization in the United States
