Job Description

The County Council is looking to recruit an Assistant Engineer who will work alongside our Design Engineers, working on carriageway and footway resurfacing schemes. Assistant Engineers work focuses mainly on initial scheme selection. Visiting sites to validate condition data, suggesting and costing of remedial treatment types and producing cost estimates. This information is essential as it is used to formulate the capital programme each year. The role also supports the wider highways team by providing both treatment advice and cost estimates for potential works.

Job Responsibility

  • Working alongside Design Engineers on carriageway and footway resurfacing schemes
