Job Description:

The town of Shrewsbury seeks a conscientious leader to fill the full-time position of Assistant Division Manager of Day Time Custodial Operations. As a vital part of the Department of Public Works Public Buildings team, the successful candidate will manage the custodial operations across all public buildings in town. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and the ability to foster strong and cooperative working relationships. The Shrewsbury Public Building Division maintains a combined 971,556 square feet of facilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise and coordinate the custodial care, cleaning, and maintenance of municipal and school buildings, grounds, and associated equipment
  • Supervise up to fifteen full-time employees, along with part-time and seasonal personnel, fostering a productive environment through training, mentoring, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee asset and work order management functions, including logging service calls, tracking labor and materials, and ensuring the timely completion of work orders

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • At least four years of progressively responsible experience in custodial services
  • Mandatory supervisory experience
