Join our DYNAMIC team at Bickford Senior Living as an Assistant Director! The Assistant Director supports the Executive Director in driving the culture and performance of a Bickford Branch. This position works closely with department managers to ensure excellent resident care and engagement, optimal sales results, and financial performance. Job Responsibility

  • Occasional mandatory travel required for training and development purposes
  • Responsible for assisting the Director in all operations within the Branch, interacting with staff and residents, potential residents, or their family members or representatives, as necessary
  • builds and maintains strong working relationships with the management team
  • Acts as a hands-on leader who supervises, directs, and motivates Branch staff
  • provides assistance as needed to ensure the branch operates optimally
  • Attracts, retains, and develops top talent within the Branch
  • ensuring that the branch is scheduled and staffed appropriately meeting all local/state regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for recruiting and hiring high-quality and engaged staff and ensuring they are appropriately trained and developed to meet the needs of residents
  • Responsible for maintaining positive resident relations and being accessible and approachable to residents and their families
  • Drives sales in collaboration with the Director to ensure the Branch meets necessary occupancy and net operating income (NOI) targets
  • Ensures buildings, grounds, and property are in good order in partnership with Divisional operations support and the corporate office

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related health care field preferred
  • Necessary Licensure to operate an Assisted Living Facility as outlined by local state regulations is preferred but not required
  • Experience with managing the operations of a business
  • Senior housing operations experience is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • A valid driver’s license and a driving record consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related health care field
  • Licensure to operate an Assisted Living Facility
  • Senior housing operations experience
