Job Description:

Maintains the transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s) and responsible for maximizing transient revenue. The Revenue Manager releases group rooms back into general inventory and ensures clean booking windows for customers. The position recommends pricing and positioning of cluster properties. In addition, the position oversees the inventory management system to verify appropriateness of agreed upon selling strategies.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain transient rooms inventory and maximize transient revenue

Recommend pricing and positioning of cluster properties
Oversee inventory management system
Compile information, analyze and monitor actual sales against projected sales
Conduct sales strategy analysis to increase market share
Maintain accurate reservation system information
Analyze period end data to identify trends and obstacles
Update market knowledge and align strategies accordingly
Achieve and exceed performance goals
Establish long-range objectives and strategies
Provide revenue management functional expertise
Ensure hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies
Manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue
Assist hotels with pricing and business evaluation
Lead coordination of strategies between group sales offices
Use reservation and demand forecasting systems
Check distribution channels for hotel and competitor positioning

Requirements:

2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
3 years experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area
OR 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
1 year experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area
Experience analyzing and reporting revenue management data
Knowledge of inventory management systems
Ability to execute revenue management projects and strategy
Understanding of pricing and positioning strategies
