About the role: The Assistant Director of Technology Innovation & Data is responsible for supporting the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of all computer systems, networks, and data/voice communication infrastructure across the property, residential, and club operations. This role ensures seamless daily technology operations, assists with system upgrades and troubleshooting, and supports users in maintaining the highest levels of functionality and service. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.

Job Responsibility

  • Assisting the Director in providing a high level of operational availability and stability for property-based technology
  • To continuously identify & work for the improvement in the IT & technology setup of the hotel
  • To assist in the planning & design of the server infrastructure
  • To provide Systems Administration
  • Develop and maintain a core set of proactive maintenance processes
  • Provide 7 x 24 support for mission-critical systems
  • Ensure critical systems availability
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining user procedures and hardware familiarization
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining system security procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of system files
  • Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications and interfaces
  • Responsible for network support & security of Hotel network
  • Assist with the test and monitor backup plan
  • Provide direct guest and resident support and quality support to function rooms and conference services

Requirements

  • College degree preferably relating to Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years experience in hotel IT (in a similar capacity of position), experience in project management, hospitality applications, PMS, HSIA, POS preferred
  • Working knowledge of assessment methodologies and learning needs identification
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English
  • Proven leadership skills in a hotel environment
  • The highest level of integrity and transparency
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and a team player with high energy levels to work with cross-functional teams, negotiate for resources, and influence stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, projects, effective presentations and facilitate meetings
  • Desirable Microsoft or Cisco Certifications, strong network-building and troubleshooting skills, including Microsoft Operating Systems, MAC Operating Systems, and applications
  • Strong business, resources, and project planning experience
  • The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need
