Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Security assists the Director of Security in the management of a team responsible for the security and safety measures throughout the Resort. They will assist in the strategic oversight of every aspect of the Resort’s physical security and safety for Guests, Residents, Employees. The ideal candidate must have the knowledge and experience to step in as Director due to the seasonal job scope of the offsite Ski Chalet or when the Director of Security is out of the office.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the Director of Security in overseeing the daily operations of the security department
  • Hire, lead, train, and manage the security team
  • Recent experience with payroll, scheduling, and office administrative duties
  • Act as a liaison with all law enforcement agencies, city and federal agencies, and hotel associations
  • Enforce hotel rules, regulations and policies
  • Assist in highly sensitive and confidential investigations into employee and guest conduct
  • Co-Chair the hotels Lead with care committee, lead monthly lead with care committee meetings, and lead departmental and property inspections
  • Lead the workers compensation program
  • Patrol building
  • noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards
  • Monitor and assess the security of hotel access points, parking areas, and public spaces
  • Manage the surveillance systems and review footage
  • Respond professionally to any and every hotel emergency safety situation
  • Document guest and employee incidents
  • Assist with follow-up on investigations
  • Assist is promoting safety awareness and enforcement throughout the Hotel
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments
  • Develop the emergency response team, evacuation plans, and response plans
  • Provide First Aid and CPR
  • Contain and transport items potentially contaminated
  • Provide basic security services, key control, guest and function room lock problems/reprogramming, guestroom safe malfunctions, and lock out
  • Project an image of friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to provide personalized services

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of employment in a related management position with Four Seasons or other hotel/resort
  • certifications required
  • Knowledge of OSHA, Local, State (CO) and Federal laws
  • Bachelor's degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred
  • Proven track record of leading security teams in high volume guest centric environments
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with security systems, surveillance tools, and incident reporting software
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions in crisis situations
  • Requires proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests
  • Fluency in English is required for this location, and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to eight hours per shift and lift up to 50lbs
