This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales leader with a passion for luxury hospitality. Drive revenue, elevate our hotel’s presence in the MICE and Events market, and shape memorable guest experiences through strategic partnerships, key account management, and high‑impact sales initiatives. Lead and inspire the Sales & Events team, support the Director of Sales & Marketing, and collaborate across departments to deliver exceptional commercial results.
Job Responsibility:
Drive new business across MICE, corporate events, conferences, incentives, exhibitions and luxury social celebrations
Build strong relationships with PCOs, event agencies, wedding planners, corporate clients and luxury partners, positioning the hotel as a leading luxury destination
Identify and convert opportunities across associations, corporate groups, destination conferences and social events
Manage the end-to-end Conference & Events sales pipeline, ensuring strong lead management and high conversion
Develop compelling proposals, negotiate profitable contracts and drive upselling across event packages and premium experiences
Maximise utilisation of ballrooms, meeting spaces, dining venues and outdoor function spaces
Manage key accounts to drive retention, repeat business and long-term partnerships
Lead forecasting, pipeline reporting and market analysis to identify growth opportunities
Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events and industry forums
Support and mentor the Sales & Events team while collaborating closely with Revenue, Operations, F&B and Marketing
Requirements:
Proven experience in hotel sales, MICE, or events with a strong track record of driving revenue growth
A deep understanding of the conference, corporate, group, or social events market - ideally within luxury hospitality
Exceptional relationship‑building skills and the ability to engage confidently with corporate clients, planners, agencies, and partners
Strong commercial acumen, including forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic negotiation
The ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams in a high‑performance, customer‑focused environment
Excellent presentation, communication, and proposal‑writing skills
A proactive approach, with the ability to identify new opportunities and convert leads into long‑term business
A collaborative working style, partnering seamlessly with Revenue, Events, Marketing, and Operational teams
Full AU working rights are required for this role with the ability to work an average of 38 hours per week
