The Assistant Director of Sales reports to the Director of Sales and will assist her/him in managing the implementation of the hotel’s sales strategies and achieving budgeted top line revenue for the hotel. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented, enjoys working in a team environment and leading and developing team members. The ADOS needs to have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in leading and supervising the sales team, oversee the day to day sales activities, implement action plans and accomplish goals and set targets
Attends sales strategy meetings to provide input on weekly and overall sales strategy
Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implements strategy to achieve property’s financial room and catering goals
Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g., Event Booking Center, Market Sales, GSO) to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative
Assist in the production of annual hotel business plan
Attends customer events, trade shows and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships with GSO Managers and customers
Requirements:
NIE and a valid Spanish work permit are mandatory for any position
Minimum of 5 years hotel sales experience –luxury brands preferred
Experience in MICE and Leisure segments
Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Decision making skills and an astute business acumen
Immaculate presentation at all times, representing the Marriott Luxury Brands
Relationship with Inbound tour operator & wholesalers
Relationship with MICE & event management companies
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethic and attitude towards client and colleagues as an ambassador of Marriott International
Lead by positive example. Ensure sales team members are a positive reflection of the hotel
