As Assistant Director of Rooms, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the Rooms Division, ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency, and full compliance with The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.
Job Responsibility
Support the Director of Rooms in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, Bell Services, Guest Relations
Ensure all departments consistently deliver exceptional service in accordance with The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott International brand standards
Lead, coach, motivate, and develop departmental leaders and Ladies and Gentlemen, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement
Drive guest satisfaction by ensuring personalized service, anticipating guest needs, and resolving concerns promptly and professionally
Monitor operational performance, guest satisfaction metrics, and quality indicators, implementing action plans to achieve and exceed established goals
Collaborate closely with Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and other departments to ensure seamless resort operations
Assist in managing departmental budgets, labor productivity, scheduling, and operational expenses while maintaining the highest service standards
Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, data privacy requirements, and operational procedures
Support internal and external audits, quality assurance initiatives, and continuous improvement projects across the Rooms Division
Serve as an operational leader during daily resort activities, providing guidance, visibility, and support to both guests and employees
Act on behalf of the Director of Rooms during their absence, ensuring business continuity and effective operational decision-making
Requirements
Previous leadership experience within the Rooms Division, preferably as an Assistant Director of Rooms, Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager, or in a similar management role
Proven experience in luxury hotels or Forbes Five-Star/Five-Star resort environments
Strong leadership and people development skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and build high-performing teams
Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Strong business acumen with experience managing operational performance, labor productivity, and guest satisfaction
Proficiency in Opera PMS (or equivalent property management systems) and Microsoft Office applications
Fluency in English is required
Spanish is highly preferred
Additional languages are considered an asset
Valid authorization to work in Spain
