Job Description

Greenfield Healthcare & Rehab is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help lead our dynamic nursing team. If you’re passionate about senior care and thrive in a supportive environment, we want you to join us! Your Impact: As ADON, you’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the nursing department. You’ll play a key role in shaping the quality of care our residents receive and ensure that nursing services are delivered in compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the Director in managing day-to-day operations of the nursing department while ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Help develop and maintain policies and procedures that support exceptional resident care
  • Contribute to staffing decisions, ensuring the right mix of skilled nurses and assistants are available at all times
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Participate in care plan meetings, offering insights to improve resident care
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols, and suggest improvements as needed
  • Provide direct nursing care when necessary and assist in emergency situations
  • Lead in-service training and orientation programs to ensure the team is well-educated on best practices

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff, residents, and families
  • Ability to handle administrative responsibilities, including evaluations, charting, and policy implementation
