Job Description

A senior marketing role that provides key support to the operations of the marketing department to meet the goals and objectives of all the Fiji based Resorts and reports to the Market Director of Marketing – Fiji & Samoa. Key functions include the development and implementation of key marketing strategies, hotel calendar of events, managing budgets, key stakeholder engagement, communications and the operation of the Fiji based marketing team. Key competencies must reflect an effective communicator and collaborator. An out-of-box thinker who executes timely deliverables with great attention to detail. and agile that can champion projects to full completion. Possesses a sound understanding of the digital ecosystems and customer journey with a sharp analytical adoptive approach to dialogue with key stakeholders (internally and externally).

Job Responsibility

  • Ensures the efficient operation of the Fiji Marketing team and effective collaboration across all the Resort teams Fiji
  • Deploy enhanced direct channel strategies that help drive topline activation across the Resorts
  • Drive brand preference and differentiate each of the Resort from each other within the cluster and against competition, demonstrated through effective partnerships and performance marketing strategies
  • Key role to support Market DOM to ensure the execution of the marketing strategies and all engines driving direct channels to respective resorts
  • Effective external stakeholder engagement that includes Owners, agencies and partners in the digital distribution ecosystem
  • Collaborate with Consumer Operations leaders and team and external agencies to uncover insights for developing marketing strategies
  • Identify growth and revenue generating activities and tailoring implementation plans
  • Management of annual marketing budget, profit and loss projections and expenditures
  • Close collaboration with managers, content providers, distribution partners, agencies and operations team to ensure seamless dissemination of information and execution of marketing strategies and tactics
  • Lead execution of marketing campaigns, testing, tracking, results reporting and providing sound recommendations
  • Key support for hotel re-opening strategies and execution of critical paths for project management of these re-opening
  • Manage development and implementation of marketing plans and strategy including the promotional event calendar for respective Resort
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to brainstorm, resolve challenges and ensure that the local team is also empowered
  • Agile to pivot with rapid market changes and influence leadership for the strategies adopted
  • Sound understanding of consumer journeys and ability to comprehend branding and lead a positioning program if required
  • Results and performance driven and exemplary approach with department team
  • Effective collaboration with Field Marketing and Marriott Digital Services teams to ensure opportunities are maximized
  • Ability to develop briefs and manage the execution with the relevant agency
  • Deploy PR and media plans with speed to market
  • Presentation at key stakeholder meetings

Requirements

  • Proven track record in senior marketing role and campaign creation
  • Excellent leadership, communication and managing complex scenarios enhanced with effective decision-making skills
  • Experience in digital marketing, content, and social media marketing
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
  • Ability to manage media briefs, implementation and budget negotiation
  • Highly skilled and savvy marketer
