The Assistant Director of Luxury Travel is responsible for driving revenue growth through the strategic development and management of luxury consortia, corporate accounts, and wholesale partnerships. This role focuses on cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning the hotel as the preferred choice within the luxury travel and corporate segments. Working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Assistant Director will contribute to the hotel's overall sales strategy, ensuring achievement of revenue goals while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality and brand representation.
Job Responsibility
Develop and execute strategic sales plans for luxury consortia programs including preferred partnerships and luxury travel networks
Maintain strong relationships with luxury travel advisors, consortium leaders, and agency partners
Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, networking events, and familiarization trips to drive awareness and bookings
Monitor production and performance of consortia accounts and implement action plans to maximize revenue opportunities
Negotiate preferred partnership agreements and annual marketing initiatives
Identify, solicit, and secure new corporate accounts to achieve annual revenue targets
Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of local, regional, and international corporate accounts
Conduct market research to identify emerging business opportunities and industry trends
Lead contract negotiations and ensure timely completion of corporate agreements
Develop account plans and strategies to increase market share within targeted industries
Achieve and exceed room night, revenue, and market share objectives
Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing strategies and account production
Drive transient, group, and extended-stay business opportunities within assigned segments
Analyze sales performance and market intelligence to recommend tactical initiatives
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Hospitality management or related disciplines
Minimum 5 year of relevant experience preferably in luxury hotel or hospitality
