Four Seasons Resort Nevis is seeking an Assistant Director of Housekeeping to ensure our guest accommodation and all areas front and back of house are maintained in a spotless condition at all times. They assume a very hands on management of the day to day operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department by establishing and controlling planned cleaning schedules, and working closely with the Front office to ensure that guest accommodations are ready in a timely manner to Four Seasons standards.
Job Responsibility:
Department Leadership: Manage, train, schedule, and evaluate all Housekeeping staff. Conduct interviews, performance evaluations, and corrective actions as needed. Promote communication and teamwork across the department
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to ensure rooms and public spaces meet Four Seasons standards. Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and inspect all areas of responsibility. Establish detailed cleaning and preventive maintenance programs to preserve the quality and appearance of all furnishings, fixtures, and equipment
Guest Service: Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of professionalism. Respond promptly and accurately to guest requests and special requirements, resolving concerns effectively. Coordinate Housekeeping services for Residence owners as needed
Financial Management: Support departmental financial goals by monitoring labor, supply, and contract expenses. Maintain accurate inventory records for linens, uniforms, and supplies. Participate in periodic inventories and recommend corrective actions. Assist in preparing the annual labor and operating budgets and propose capital expenditures
Laundry and Valet Oversight: Ensure efficient and high-quality operations of the Laundry/Valet department, providing support and direction if needed
Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce safe working practices, proper chemical handling, and equipment maintenance. Respond swiftly and effectively to all safety or emergency situations
Guest Satisfaction: Handling guest requests, resolving complaints and ensuring exceptional service
Purchasing, Inventory and Budget: Ordering and managing supplies, equipments and controlling labor/operating expenses. Assist in preparing the annual labor and operating budgets and propose capital expenditures
Departmental Coordination: Working with other hotel departments ( like Front Desk, Engineering, Food & Beverage) for seamless guest experiences
Requirements:
College degree, preferably in Hotel Management
Minimum of 2 years in Housekeeping Management roles and 5 years in Housekeeping Department position
Proven ability to motivate and lead a large, diverse team
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Strong financial acumen and ability to adapt to changing business needs
