The Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Assistant Director of Events and Catering to lead our Catering Sales and Event operations. This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate is a passionate, results-driven with a proven track record of achieving goals and building strong client relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in Food & Beverage/Catering revenue growth through strategic promotions
Lead, motivate, and support sales and catering team members to exceed targets
Meet or exceed revenue goals for guest rooms and events
Coordinate with internal departments to deliver seamless guest experiences
Oversee hiring, training, coaching, and evaluations of Events & Catering staff
Monitor departmental expenses and payroll within budgetary guidelines
Requirements:
3+ years’ experience as an Event Manager at a full-service property (400+ rooms, 25,000+ sq. ft. meeting space)
Marriott CI/TY experience preferred
Previous experience in the Orlando market a plus
Strong organizational, financial, communication, and leadership skills
