Job Description

The Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Assistant Director of Events and Catering to lead our Catering Sales and Event operations. This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate is a passionate, results-driven with a proven track record of achieving goals and building strong client relationships.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in Food & Beverage/Catering revenue growth through strategic promotions
  • Lead, motivate, and support sales and catering team members to exceed targets
  • Meet or exceed revenue goals for guest rooms and events
  • Coordinate with internal departments to deliver seamless guest experiences
  • Oversee hiring, training, coaching, and evaluations of Events & Catering staff
  • Monitor departmental expenses and payroll within budgetary guidelines

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience as an Event Manager at a full-service property (400+ rooms, 25,000+ sq. ft. meeting space)
  • Marriott CI/TY experience preferred
  • Previous experience in the Orlando market a plus
  • Strong organizational, financial, communication, and leadership skills

Nice to have

  • Marriott CI/TY experience preferred
