Assistant Director of Engineering

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the Engineering Department, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to maintenance schedules
• Assist the Director of Engineering in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs for all hotel areas and private residences in accordance with legal agreements
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems, guest rooms, and public areas to uphold the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics
• Oversee and manage operational and capital expenditures, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
• Collaborate closely with all departments and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks and minimal disruption to guest experiences
• Manage third-party service providers, ensuring compliance with Four Seasons quality and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service contracts, and equipment performance
• Uphold compliance with all company policies, procedures, and local regulations related to safety, fire prevention, and energy conservation

• 3–5 years of experience in an engineering management role within a luxury hotel or similar environment
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field preferred
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with proven ability to manage teams and multiple projects simultaneously
• Sound knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance programs, and capital project planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• A hands-on approach and commitment to delivering exceptional guest and resident experiences
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
• You must possess the legal right to work in Italy and have fluency in English and Italian
