Job Description

The Assistant Director of Career and Life Design (CLD) is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating programs that strengthen alumni career and life design engagement and support around shared life experiences, interests, and aspirations. Reporting to the Director of Career and Life Design, the Assistant Director plays a central role in advancing Brown’s vision for Career and Life Design, helping alumni engage in a lifelong process of exploration, growth, and contribution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field such as development, career services, program management, alumni engagement, and/or advising
  • Demonstrated experience and success in strategy development, project coordination, and event planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google suite of tools, experience with web and email technology, experience using databases
  • Ability to present effectively to small and large groups
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • A high level of integrity, tact, and discretion is required
