Job Responsibility:
Conceptualize and develop special events and activities across the university and the city
coordinate and supervise event details including marketing, set-up, vendor coordination, room reservation, and audiovisual equipment
manage event budgets and oversee staffing and volunteer support
prepare and process financial documents and assist in contract preparation
compose and execute event communications including advertising, marketing, and publicity
monitor event registration and provide status updates
prepare reports and maintain an events calendar
represent the Institute at campus and community events
develop and execute strategic communications for events and initiatives
prepare and distribute releases, stories, social media content, and reports
prepare post-event reports and impact narratives
Requirements:
Four-year degree or equivalent specialized training
minimum of three years of directly related experience
ability to take initiative and problem solve
excellent judgment and critical thinking skills
adaptability to changing priorities
strong verbal and written communication skills
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva
demonstrated experience in event planning and marketing
ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently
must be able to maintain professionalism in diverse settings
Bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized training
minimum of three years of job-related experience
experience in higher education environments
