Opportunity available for an energetic Assistant Director of Engineering at MUSC/Florence, SC!

Job Responsibility

  • Manages one or more functional areas within the Engineering Department
  • Manages two or more professional and support staff including subordinate supervisors
  • Evaluates and makes improvements to department processes while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Manages initiatives, strategic priorities and programs which have an impact on the organization
  • Works independently and in collaboration with leadership to support the budget process and meeting key operational goals
  • Plans, organizes, facilitates, monitors, and evaluates activities and functions of the department/functional business area based employee/organizational goals
  • Collaborates with leaders to establish operating procedures, enhance clinical/non-clinical workflows, increase productivity, and improve overall quality outcomes and operational efficiencies within a variety of delivery settings
  • Assists the Director in day to day operations of the department and assumes responsibility for the department in the absence of the Director
  • Includes Life Safety and Utilities Management documentation, assisting front line staff with best practice and solutions, supervision of contractors and inclusion in project management oversight including ISLM and Infection Control during construction and other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for engineering support for the Pee Dee Division: Florence, SC
  • Marion, SC and BlackRiver/Cades, SC

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years in healthcare facilities management with 2 years supervisory or management

Nice to have

TJC, DHEC, and CMS survey experience
