Hill McGlynn Recruitment is working with a growing construction client based in Medway who is looking to bring on an Assistant Design Manager / Design Coordinator to join their young and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to develop into a Design Manager role, working closely with experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the Design Manager across multiple construction projects
  • Assisting with the coordination of design information and documentation
  • Administration and note-taking
  • Carrying out general administration, note-taking, and other support tasks as part of the role
  • Working with site teams and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Using systems such as Procore and some AutoCAD
  • Opportunity to attend London-based projects when required

Requirements

  • Background in construction or design coordination
  • Familiar with (or willing to learn) Procore and AutoCAD
  • Hands-on, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated, career-driven, and eager to learn
  • Based within a commutable distance to Medway
  • MUST live within commutable distance of Chatham

  • Support Technical Project Leaders on all aspects of project management working across multiple projects. Deputise when required and ensure Business Units and cross-functional partners receive good levels of project support and communication
