Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is seeking an Assistant d|bar Manager who shares our passion for exceeding guest expectations and is eager to learn from, and contribute to, our Food and Beverage Management Team. d|bar by Chef Daniel Boulud is located in the historic Village of Yorkville, Toronto’s most luxurious shopping and dining district. Offering impressive views of Yorkville Avenue, this stylish lobby lounge offers refined cocktails, contemporary dining, and a vibrant social atmosphere. The venue transforms seasonally with offerings such as its summer patio, d|azur, and an elegant afternoon tea, alongside rotating menus and special experiences throughout the year. As Assistant d|bar Manager, you will support the d|bar General Manager in the day to day operation of the outlet. You will play a key role in maintaining service excellence, driving beverage programming and sales performance, and leading a dynamic front-of-house team within one of Toronto’s premier luxury lounge destinations.
Job Responsibility
Support the overall operation of d|bar across all meal periods, ensuring smooth, efficient, and consistent service delivery
Lead, supervise, and motivate front of house Food & Beverage teams by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management, including corrective action when required
Assist with staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage, operational efficiency, and compliance with labour targets, while controlling overtime and labour costs
Maintain a strong, visible presence on the floor to monitor service quality, uphold service standards, and ensure exceptional guest experiences at all times
Drive beverage sales through team coaching, upselling initiatives, guest engagement, and strong product knowledge
Support the execution and evolution of the cocktail, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverage programs in collaboration with the General Manager and Bar leadership team
Greet and engage guests in a professional, warm, and unobtrusive manner, building relationships with new and returning patrons while handling complaints, concerns, and special requests with confidence and care
Collaborate closely with Culinary and Front of House leadership to coordinate service, update menus, and support the development and execution of special offerings and promotions
Maintain awareness of beverage trends, competitor activity, and Toronto market developments to support innovation and positioning within the luxury bar scene
Support revenue generation initiatives through strategic floor management, guest engagement, beverage sales focus, and operational efficiencies
Prepare and review daily and weekly payroll, labour reports, and all required operational and revenue‑related documentation accurately and on time
Monitor inventory levels of food, beverage, supplies, and operating equipment

and support cost control, purchasing, and waste reduction initiatives
Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with team members, management, and other departments, including daily logs and participation in operational meetings

Requirements
2 - 3 years of management experience, ideally within a luxury hotel, fine‑dining, or high‑profile bar environment
Strong expertise in spirits, wine, cocktails, beverage trends, and bar operations
In‑depth knowledge of the Toronto restaurant scene
Exceptional guest‑interaction and problem‑solving skills, with a natural ability to build long‑term guest relationships
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to remain composed under pressure
Flexibility, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality aligned with Four Seasons culture and values
Excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language
