A rare opportunity has emerged for a seasoned Assistant Credit Manager or Credit Team Leader to join a national leader in the industrial manufacturing sector. This is a 6-month contract role with a high likelihood of extension, designed for a leader who thrives in a well-established, fast-paced environment. You will step in to lead a dedicated team of 5 to 6 Credit Officers. As credit applications tighten and risk covenants become more complex, your expertise in managing escalations. The Role Reporting to the National Credit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the credit function for a national portfolio.
Job Responsibility:
Lead a dedicated team of 5 to 6 Credit Officers
Oversee day-to-day operations of credit function for national portfolio
Manage and mentor a team of 6 direct reports
Handle complex Order-to-Cash issues and resolve disputes with national clients
Navigate tightening credit landscape
Assess risk covenants
Ensure new applications meet stringent company standards
Work closely with Sydney and Melbourne offices to ensure unified approach to national ledger
Drive reduction of aged debt through team coaching and direct intervention on key accounts
