Assistant Council on Aging Director

The town of Westwood seeks an enthusiastic and flexible Assistant Council on Aging Director to play a central role in supporting the Director in the administration and daily operations of the Council on Aging (COA). Westwood is a vibrant community with approximately 4,000 residents over the age of 60. On a daily basis, the Senior Center is a hive of activity that logs 3,000+ visits per month in supporting the diverse needs of a growing senior population. Candidates who thrive in a fast-past environment, possess strong management skills, exhibit sound judgment under stressful situations, and effectively juggle multiple priorities are encouraged to apply. Sensitivity, empathy, understanding and respect are essential to the position, along with a solid awareness of the needs of older adults and the resources available to keep them safe, secure and engaged.
