We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will play a critical part in overseeing financial operations, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Job Responsibility:
Lead month-end and year-end close processes for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Manage the consolidation of financial data across entities using QuickBooks
Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reporting packages that align with organizational standards
Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making at the executive level
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, contributing to the organization's strategic planning
Collaborate with leadership to strengthen internal controls and enhance financial reporting procedures
Oversee the integration of accounting functions from newly acquired companies, streamlining operations
Standardize accounting processes to create scalable and repeatable systems
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger staff across multiple entities, encouraging attention to detail and continuous growth
Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including sales and fuel tax filings
Requirements:
Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Expertise in preparing financial statements and handling audits
Proficiency in QuickBooks and multi-entity consolidations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform budgeting and financial forecasting
Knowledge of internal controls and compliance standards
Familiarity with tax filings and regulatory requirements
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders
