Assistant Controller

• Oversee and execute the month-end close process from start to finish to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting functions
• Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations to maintain precise financial records
• Coordinate and assist with annual audits, serving as the key point of contact for external auditors
• Supervise and guide a team of two staff members, fostering collaboration and productivity
• Cross-train with other team members to ensure operational flexibility and coverage
• Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes within the organization
• Utilize Sage Intacct software for accounting tasks, if applicable
• Support organizational growth by taking on additional responsibilities as needed

• Proven experience in month-end close procedures and general ledger management
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting
• Experience with annual audits and working directly with auditors
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor a small team
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct software is preferred but not required
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and take initiative in a smaller team environment
