These contract positions focus on financial management, including reporting, preparation of financial statements, and compliance, offering exposure to diverse business environments. Ideal candidates should have a CPA, a degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong financial analysis skills, with opportunities for career growth and potential for extended or permanent placements. Our client, in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Assistant Controller, Corporate Finance for a 3-6months contract, with a possibility for conversion to permanent. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all financial reporting functions within the Corporate Finance Group. The Assistant Controller, Corporate Finance will be responsible to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. He will be reporting to the Finance Controller.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Oversee the Treasury function of the entity
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Requirements:
University degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Business Administration
Professional designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) desirable
3-5 years’ experience in industry reporting and analysis, with proven project management skills
Advanced MS Office skills including data extraction, and financial modelling
Experienced with integrated financial software packages
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
Demonstrates focus and ability to achieve targets
