We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join a dynamic hospitality organization based in Newport Beach, California. This role involves managing key financial functions and leading a team to ensure effective operations within a global environment.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and guide a team of over seven professionals across accounting, payroll, and treasury functions
Oversee month-end closing processes and ensure accurate general ledger management
Prepare and review financial reports to support organizational decision-making
Collaborate with other directors and executives to align financial strategies with business goals
Manage compliance with accounting standards and regulations within a global framework
Lead the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring effective system implementation
Monitor and analyze revenue data for a $140M organization with operations in 20 countries
Participate in meetings with C-suite executives and owners to present financial insights
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance team
Ensure payroll processes are accurate and aligned with organizational policies
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team
CPA certification is strongly preferred
Expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, and financial reporting
Proficiency in Dynamics GP and Dynamics 365 Business Central
Familiarity with financial operations within a global organization
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with executives and team members
