We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team. This role will report directly to the Controller and play a pivotal part in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and fostering a high-performing team environment. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving accurate financial processes, maintaining strong internal controls, and contributing to the company’s strategic goals.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and support finance and accounting operations to ensure compliance with policies, achievement of departmental goals, and a collaborative team environment
Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and supporting documentation while maintaining the integrity of general ledger records
Oversee compliance efforts, including annual audits, government grant audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements
Develop and maintain internal controls for treasury management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and other financial processes to ensure accuracy and risk mitigation
Monitor and manage credit risk through data analytics and credit insurance strategies
Design and implement performance management systems that promote accountability and growth within the team
Create and execute training programs to align staff skills with organizational and departmental objectives
Collaborate with leadership to define and promote core company values, ensuring they are reflected in daily operations and interactions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a focus on Accounting
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, ideally in the manufacturing or distribution sectors
Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset and exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software systems
Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, adapt to challenges, and take initiative in growth opportunities
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities, with the capability to build strong relationships across all organizational levels.
