Assistant Controller

• Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Manage general ledger activities and prepare detailed financial statements and supporting schedules
• Lead a team of administrative staff, including clerks and accountants, providing guidance and support
• Coordinate accounts payable/receivable processes and oversee construction billing submissions using Textura
• Process and document Time and Material (T& M) projects with precision and attention to detail
• Handle compliance and reporting documentation through platforms such as B2GNow and ensure timely submission
• Review job cost data and contribute to the preparation of monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports
• Serve as the point of contact for construction-specific payroll matters, reconciling quarterly payroll reports and preparing returns
• Establish and maintain efficient systems and controls to verify the integrity of all financial processes and data
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendors, subcontractors, financial institutions, and internal teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• Construction industry experience required
• Minimum of three years of recent supervisory or management experience
• Proficiency in construction accounting software, such as Computer Ease or Viewpoint Vista
• Familiarity with construction billing platforms (e.g., Textura) and compliance portals like B2GNow
• Strong knowledge of prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll, and union reporting requirements
• Expertise in job costing principles and Work in Progress (WIP) reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
• Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
