Job Description:

Assist the Controller in managing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting audits. Contribute to the financial health and efficiency of the company while collaborating with a dynamic team.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee daily accounting functions including general ledger management, accounts receivable, sales and use tax, and fixed asset tracking
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff
Analyze financial data to deliver insights for strategic decision-making
Identify and implement process improvements
Manage cash flow forecasting, project tracking, and reconciliation of sales and use tax
Serve as backup to the Controller

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Expertise in sales and use tax
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting systems
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Acumatica
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving capabilities

Nice to have:

Preferred experience in project or construction accounting
Percentage of completion method
Cash flow forecasting
