Job Description:

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to grow their accounting expertise while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will support key accounting processes and actively participate in improving organizational workflows.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in completing monthly and annual financial close procedures
Prepare and submit construction draw documents with precision and timeliness
Reconcile bank and vendor accounts to ensure financial accuracy and integrity
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within accounting operations
Collaborate on the implementation of new accounting software systems
Support auditing activities by providing accurate documentation and reports
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to maintain smooth financial operations
Assist in billing functions and ensure compliance with organizational standards
Work closely with the Controller to address financial queries and provide actionable insights

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
Prior experience in the construction industry is advantageous but not mandatory
Familiarity with financial systems such as Procore, Intacct, or Sage Intacct is a plus
Basic knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and auditing processes
Adept at learning and using new software tools to improve accounting workflows

Nice to have:

Prior experience in the construction industry
Familiarity with financial systems such as Procore, Intacct, or Sage Intacct
