Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Lake Oswego, Oregon. This is a fully remote role that requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, manage offshore team members, and contribute to the success of a distributed retail environment.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Manage and guide two offshore employees, providing leadership and ensuring efficient workflows
Utilize NetSuite extensively for general ledger management, reporting, and customization
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and strategic initiatives
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
Monitor and manage key performance indicators related to financial operations
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial data
Support multi-unit retail operations by ensuring accurate financial data across distributed locations

Requirements:

Netsuite experience
Multi-Unit Retail industry experience
CPA
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
Proficiency in NetSuite with expertise in general ledger management, reporting, and system customization
Experience in multi-unit retail or distributed operational environments

Nice to have:

CPA designation preferred or previously held
Experience in multi-unit retail or distributed operational environments is strongly preferred
