Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in McLean, Virginia. This role involves maintaining strict adherence to financial policies and procedures while ensuring accurate reporting and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting systems and processes, along with proven expertise in financial management. The Assistant Controller for this role will focus on cost accounting, MEC, budgeting and financial statements.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the daily cash flow process
prepare financial packages
coordinate the quarter, month, year-end process
budgeting & forecasting
design and implement effective internal controls
account reconciliation
prepare financial statements
implement process improvement where needed
prepare financial audits and review with external auditors

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
5-7 years of public/private accounting experience
supervisory experience required
CPA preferred
JD Edwards is a plus
proficiency in accounting software
excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
