We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to oversee critical financial operations and ensure compliance with industry standards. Job Responsibility:
Manage and lead the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Oversee financial consolidations and ensure alignment with organizational standards
Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and internal controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and leadership, to support financial objectives
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in a growing business environment
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting standards
Support audits, including DCAA compliance, by providing necessary documentation and insights
Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and create detailed financial reports
Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions
Drive initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve internal workflows
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
candidates with Finance or Economics degrees only will not be considered
Proven experience managing financial consolidations and month-end close processes
Demonstrated expertise in compliance with industry-specific regulations and reporting standards
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
Strong knowledge of DCAA compliance and financial statement audits
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, scaling environment
Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership
