Job Description

A highly regarded investment firm is seeking two Assistant Controllers to support fund-level accounting, reporting, and operational finance functions. This role blends technical accounting expertise with process oversight, systems optimization, and innovation initiatives. The position partners cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient operations, while helping drive continuous improvement through automation and modern technology tools.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee accounting and reporting for investment funds and related vehicles, including audit coordination
  • Manage relationships with third-party administrators and review fund accounting deliverables
  • Prepare and review financial statements, capital activity, and investor reporting
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and governing agreements
  • Support investment-related transactions and treasury activities
  • Collaborate with tax, legal, and operations teams on reporting and compliance matters
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation across finance processes
  • Respond to stakeholder and investor inquiries
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and system enhancements
  • Leverage data analytics and technology to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Partner across teams to streamline workflows and improve overall financial operations

Requirements

  • 7+ years overall experience
  • Public and Private experience is highly preferred
  • Straight public or private experience
  • CPA is a must
  • Investment partnership fund experience
