Job Description

A rapidly growing manufacturing subsidiary is seeking an Assistant Controller – Manufacturing to lead accounting operations in Houston. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but high-potential organization with plans for significant expansion. The role reports to the Controller and CFO.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee all accounting functions for the Houston office, including: Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and revenue account reconciliations
  • Inventory accounting (WIP, finished goods)
  • Financial reporting
  • Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • collaborate with auditors during reviews
  • Implement and manage manufacturing processes in NetSuite, including standard costing and inventory setup
  • Support SEC reporting requirements with understanding of public company reporting tables and manufacturing-specific terminology

Requirements

  • CPA required
  • Experience with manufacturing accounting and standard costing
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, especially in a manufacturing context
  • Public company experience with familiarity in SEC reporting
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to implement processes in a growing organization
