A well-established accountancy practice in Exeter is looking to recruit an Assistant Client Manager with experience supporting agricultural and rural clients to join its growing agri-focused team. This role is ideal for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys working closely with farmers, rural businesses and landed estates, supporting client relationships while developing their management and advisory skills. You’ll work alongside Client Managers and Partners, gaining increased responsibility and exposure within a specialist agricultural portfolio.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the preparation and review of statutory accounts for agricultural businesses
Producing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax returns
Acting as a secondary point of contact for agri and rural clients
Supporting Client Managers with workflow, deadlines and client queries
Reviewing work prepared by junior team members
Gaining exposure to advisory and planning work for agricultural clients
Building technical knowledge within agricultural and rural accounting
Requirements:
ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
Experience working within a UK accountancy practice
Exposure to agricultural or rural clients
Confident preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns
Enjoy supporting client relationships and developing advisory skills
Organised, reliable and comfortable managing deadlines
Keen to progress into a client management role
