Job Description:

The Office of the City Solicitor is seeking an attorney licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to serve as Assistant City Solicitor in a growing office. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to public service, experience advising municipal clients on all matters related to government administration, and experience with litigation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing with the same
  • At least three to five years’ prior municipal experience
  • Knowledge of and experience in municipal law, labor, employment and/or public sector legal matters
  • Experience handling all stages of litigation
  • Excellent organization, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time accordingly
  • Ability to use sound professional judgment
