Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the Hotel’s Chinese Restaurant while ensuring guest satisfaction. This role is part of Chinese Restaurant department, reporting into Chinese Restaurant General Manager.
Job Responsibility
Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the Hotel’s Chinese Restaurant while ensuring guest satisfaction
Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors in the Hotel’s Fine Dining Restaurant to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met with long-range strategic planning for outlet operation
The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts
Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner
Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control
Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
The ability to aid each Department Head in giving the necessary training to their staff and to assist them in it
To develop creative and attractive setup presentations for potential clients
To ensure spot up-selling to maximize the departmental revenue
To supervise the execution of Restaurant according to guest’s desire and to ensure the highest standards of food, beverage and service is offered
To review all Restaurant Operation orders and daily and weekly Restaurant sheets to ensure accuracy in content
Requirements
A minimum five years of administrative experience, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant related field or other equivalent experience, is required
Mandarin Speaking is required
Requires a working knowledge of the Food & Beverage aspect of Four Seasons services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel
Requires knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment including word processing and spreadsheet software
Logic, eye for details, approachable and willing to help
Has proven ability to manage multiple priorities with lean resources while delivering high-quality results
Has strong leadership and interpersonal skills, is able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation
Has a positive attitude with a generous and uplifting team approach
Has the ability to anticipate and prioritize the needs of the guest proactively
Is energetic and has a professional approach to his/her craft
Flexible with his/her schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
