Job Responsibility

  • Assisting with the supervision and direction of the Engineering team and daily departmental operations
  • Supporting the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and repair schedules for all hotel equipment and systems
  • Monitoring life safety systems, utilities, and mechanical operations to ensure compliance with corporate standards and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Helping maintain the hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other operational systems
  • Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel's physical plant, grounds, swimming pool, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
  • Responding to maintenance requests and troubleshooting equipment and facility issues in a timely manner
  • Coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed for repairs, inspections, and specialized projects
  • Ensuring a safe environment for guests and associates through adherence to safety procedures and operational standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a maintenance technician role, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required
  • Previous hospitality or hotel maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, commercial kitchen equipment, laundry machinery, and AV/security systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Ability to assist in supervising engineering operations and supporting departmental goals
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotations as needed

Previous hospitality or hotel maintenance experience preferred
