Job Responsibility

Assisting with the supervision and direction of the Engineering team and daily departmental operations
Supporting the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and repair schedules for all hotel equipment and systems
Monitoring life safety systems, utilities, and mechanical operations to ensure compliance with corporate standards and local, state, and federal regulations
Helping maintain the hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other operational systems
Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel's physical plant, grounds, swimming pool, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
Responding to maintenance requests and troubleshooting equipment and facility issues in a timely manner
Coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed for repairs, inspections, and specialized projects
Ensuring a safe environment for guests and associates through adherence to safety procedures and operational standards

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a maintenance technician role, preferably in a hotel environment
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required
Previous hospitality or hotel maintenance experience preferred
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, commercial kitchen equipment, laundry machinery, and AV/security systems
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
Ability to assist in supervising engineering operations and supporting departmental goals
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotations as needed

Nice to have

Previous hospitality or hotel maintenance experience preferred
