Assistant Chef

• Cooking and serving nutritious, healthy meals
• Provide outstanding support to our First Chef, taking charge in their absence
• Managing the food stock
• Working out how to make the most of your budget
• Coaching a colleague
• Supervising the kitchen clean-up
• Always have Resident wellbeing in mind above anything else
• Attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role
• Undertake additional training in associated areas

• At least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Great understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
• Brilliant, positive energy
• Natural ability to get along with people
• Organised and meet deadlines
• Present food attractively
• Knack for following recipes perfectly
• Truly considerate and kind when communicating
• Ability to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect
• Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns
