Job Description:

Your next role as Bank Assistant Chef at Riverwell Beck care home in Carlisle could be just what you’re looking for. It’s a fantastic place to work (if we do say so ourselves) and you’ll be joining a brilliant team of people who are all dedicated to providing the very highest care for our residents. An important part of that care is supporting our Head Chef in the delivery of nutritious but delicious food that makes the best use of available fresh produce.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals
  • provide special dietary requirements where necessary for residents
  • maintain accurate records and the correct orders of food supplies
  • check deliveries
  • ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately
  • ensure kitchen, dining areas, including equipment, are cleaned to statutory Health and Safety standards

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 catering qualification or equivalent or a commitment to undertake further training and development relevant to the role
  • good standard of English and numeracy skills
  • passion for looking after the adults in your care
